Sessions are highly individualized: we build technique that serves your voice, not a generic one, developing the stamina, consistency, and confidence to deliver under pressure, night after night.
Coaching is rooted in real-world performance demands and draws on classical training, musical theatre, contemporary commercial music, opera, pop and jazz.
Sessions often address
Vocal health, longevity, and injury prevention. Audition preparation and repertoire coaching. Technique across all styles of singing. Consistency across long runs and national tours. Voice rebuilding and recalibration during career transitions.
Lessons are in person in Chicago and New York, and worldwide via Zoom.
Vocal Boot Camp America
A week of singing, June 22 to 26, 2026
An intensive vocal week at Columbia College Chicago, working through Musical Theatre, Jazz and the American Songbook, and Pop. Daily warm-ups, breathing and placement, ear training and harmony games, solo work in each style, and self-tape coaching.
Singers come prepared with three songs in their key: one musical theatre piece, one jazz or American Songbook piece, and one pop or rock piece. Roberta reviews and approves all material, and helps choose what suits your age and vocal type.
