About Roberta

Roberta Duchak is a veteran of Broadway and several national tours. Regarded as one of Chicago's "Second City Divas", Roberta has performed on every major stage in the Chicago Theatre.

In the Beginning:
Roberta Duchak grew up in Darien, Illinois where she started her musical career at age 3 taking piano lessons from her older sister Diane. After a whole year of crying at the piano because she thought her sister was just being mean, she got a new teacher. Roberta studied classical piano for 15+ years adding jazz to the mix along the way.

Favorite childhood memories include large Sunday dinners and then moving into the living room to entertain the family and guests, or whoever would listen! Roberta would share the piano bench with her oldest sister Diane and her Dad (also a musician) would play along on the saxophone or the clarinet playing and singing showtunes and jazz standards for hours while our middle sister Donna and Mom would clean up the dishes. Roberta continues to use music to get out of daily chores.
